How to achieve makeup-free skin combining Hydrafacial and LED Light Therapy.
Using a combination of non-evasive skincare treatment including Hydrafacial chemical peels, and LED Light Therapy, I was able to achieve makeup-free skin in under 6 months.
Achieving radiant, makeup-free skin had always felt like a distant dream. Despite investing in countless products and trying every skincare hack under the sun, I put it down to both genetics or maybe an incorrect combination of skincare products that was preventing me from achieving my goal of makeup-free skin.

As far as skin goals go, it might be safe to assume, this would be at the top of the list for most women – Going makeup-free. Meaning; achieving firm, crinkle-free, glowing and youthful skin, and able to wear less makeup, daily.

I’ve always believed in the power of self-care, and skincare has been a significant part of that routine. But as I moved through different life stages, hormonal changes, environmental factors, and the inevitable stresses of daily life, my skin reflected it all. I faced issues like uneven texture, persistent blackheads, dullness, and the occasional breakout.
So, when I met with Flora from Clear Skincare for the first time, her expertise in advanced treatments like Hydrafacial™, LED Light Therapy, and Chemical Peels gave me positive hope that achieving naturally beautiful skin was actually possible.
Step 1: Hydrafacial™ – A Deep Cleanse Like No Other

What is a Hydrafacial?
The Hydrafacial treatment (similar to that of a Hydrodermabrasion treatment)is a multi-step treatment combines cleansing, exfoliation, and hydration, all in one session. Using a patented vortex tip it can simultaneously exfoliate, clear blocked pores and infuse medical-grade serums for big skin benefits.
Before the Hydrafacial:

The process of using Hydrafacial™ works in several ways to enhance skin appearance. It uncovers a new layer of skin by gently exfoliating and resurfacing. It also removes debris from pores with a painless suction. Then, it nourishes with intense moisturisers to quench skin. The final step of the process is where the Hydrafacial™ saturates the skin’s surface with antioxidants and peptides to maximise glow.

It’s fairly gratifying at the end of the treatment, as you are then shown the liquid that drew out all the impurities. In the beginning the liquid was full of muck that was hiding in my pores. As you progress along, the water does get a little clearer, proving the skin is getting cleaner and less clogged.

My skin looked and felt visibly cleaner, smoother, and plumper after one treatment. There was no downtime, and the glowing effect lasted for days. It’s a fantastic treatment for anyone looking to deeply cleanse their skin and restore hydration.
After the Hydrafacial:

Step 2: Chemical Peels – A Fresh Start
My skin treatments were alternated on a fortnightly bases. It started with the Hydrafacial, and then a fortnight later I went in for a Chemical Peel, followed by LED Light Therapy on the same day.
Chemical peels might sound intimidating, however they aren’t. When applied to the skin, you feel a slight burn like tingling sensation, which only means the peel is working. The exfoliating power of the peels helped to remove dead skin cells and reveal the fresh, glowing skin beneath.

Peels are always customised to your skin type and concerns, which makes all the difference. After a few sessions of these peels, I saw significant improvements in pigmentation, fine lines, and overall radiance.
Step 3: LED Light Therapy – Healing from Within
Once my skin had the chemical peel, it was time for LED light therapy. This treatment uses different wavelengths of light to target various skin concerns. For me, it was all about reducing inflammation, treating blemishes and boosting collagen production. This meant using the colour red for the light therapy.

Different colours offer different skin results.
This was my first time using a clinically based LED Light Therapy. I have only ever used at home treatment, where the light is less powerful for home management. Clinic machines use a more intense light. Even whilst wearing blackout glasses to block the intensity of the light, it can take a few minutes for your eyes to adjust, but once they do, you can settle in for 15 to 20 minutes and relax comfortably.

I noticed a reduction in redness, fewer breakouts, and an overall improvement in my skin’s texture and elasticity. LED light therapy felt like an investment in my skin’s long-term health, and I would more than likely return regularly for these treatments for skin management ongoing.
The Results: Glowing, Makeup-Free Confidence
After six months of consistency with this tailored combination of treatments, my skin underwent a dramatic transformation. It felt healthier, looked brighter, and became more even in tone and texture. For the first time in years, I felt confident enough to step out of the house without a single drop of makeup. Except for some concealer from time to time to cover anything that might pop up.

And the best part, catching up with friends and family who all commented on how good my skin looked almost immediately.
Like any transformation, achieving makeup-free skin requires commitment. Sticking to a treatment schedule and following the recommended skincare routine at home are essential.

Along with your own commitment, making sure you get the right type of skin expertise, like what I received from Clear Skincare ensured I was getting the right treatments for my skin’s needs.
Improvements don’t happen overnight, but with patience and persistence, the results are worth it.
